Trayvon Martin- Innocent Teenager Shooting

There was a shooting in February that occurred in Florida. This shooting was crucial to the people in the United States, he was a innocent boy by the name of Trayvon Martin. He was shot by a man named George Zimmerman. Now I firmly believe that killing innocent people is terrible. Anyways he was shot and killed instantly by Zimmerman who claimed that he "looked dangerous". Does looking "dangerous" give you a right to shoot someone? This boy died. He DIED for crying out loud. That is the worst thing you could do to a person. It is stealing the right of living. That alone is pathetic. This is also outrageous because the boy had nothing on him. No guns, drugs, alcohol, nothing. I can't even fathom what Zimmerman was thinking while he pulled out a gun and shot him dead. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012/04/11/trayvon-martin-parents.html In this article it claims he has been charged with 2nd degree murder. And will likely be behind bars for years to come. That is the worst of this but there is still uproar in the States now. They are rioting and protesting still. I don't know what I would do if I was in there situations. I personally think it is outrageous, and crazy that someone could almost get away with murder of a 17 year old boy without getting put behind bars. It blows my mind.

Playstation 3 vs Xbox 360

Playstation 3 vs Xbox, what can I truly say about Xbox that would make it sound good? Absolutely Nothing! Xbox is cheap crap, atleast that is what I think about this topic. Who has the Red Ring of Death? Xbox obviously. They were built cheaply. They have a lot of equipment shoved into little tiny boxes with relatively small fans.  This is a general technical problem which is easily fixed depending on the error, though it comes with a price. Another problem with Xbox is you have to pay for online. Why pay money for online when you can go to PS3 and have it all for free? There is another problem with Xbox, and that would be the game options. PS3 games are way better. Though they cost the same. But PS3 has better options, Xbox players may say they have HALO, but PS3 gamers have Uncharted: Drakes Fortunes which is better, because it is actually legit humans opposed to "aliens" like who cares about aliens? Not me, Xbox blows. Who has better controllers? Obviously PS3 they are made for people, normal people can't hold Xbox controllers. They are weirdly shaped. Who likes weirdly shaped things in their hands while trying to play video games? Not PS3 gamers, let alone any gamer out there. That is what I think about Xbox vs PS3.

Pepsi vs Coke

I am going to get this out of the way right from the beginning, I prefer Pepsi over coke. And here is my reasoning for liking such an amazing drink: What is a better colour of a can? Obviously blue, blue is for cool people, red not so much. What is the history behind these drinks? Coca Cola as we know is a carbonated soft drink also known as Coke(trademarked since 1944). This drink was originally intended as a patent medicine when it was invented whose marketing tactics led to the fact that many people love this drink. Originally this drink was made with Cocaine, the illegal narcotic. I think this was wrong to distribute liquid cocaine. Though it was for medicine. But still it was bad. Let's take a look at Pepsi: it is also a carbonated soft drink, it was originally called Brad's Drink but later changed its name to Pepsi-Cola. This drink was made at home, and distributed out of a home as well. It was a relatively "clean" company, only going broke once. So once again I am happy that pepsi is still around. For it is an awesome drink. Now the last thing I wonder is what different type of flavor's of these drinks there are? Coca-Cola: Caffeine free Coca Cola, Coca Cola cherry,
Coca Cola with lemon, Coca Cola vanilla, Coca Cola C2, Coca Cola with lime, Coca Cola rasberry, Coca Cola zero, Coca Cola M5, Coca Cola black cherry vanilla, Coca Cola black, Coca Cola citrus, Coca Cola light sango, Coca Cola orange, and finally Coca Cola diet. Now the types of Pepsi: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi,
Caffeine-Free Pepsi, Caffeine-Free Diet Pepsi,Pepsi Wild Cherry,Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry,Diet Pepsi Vanilla,Pepsi ONE. Look way less to remember, much easier to remember all the Pepsi drinks out there! And those are a few reasons I prefer Pepsi.

Online Gaming the Next Generation

Video Games are some-what huge in the media. For example starcraft 2, all of the call of duty franchises, NHL franchises, Madden NFL Franchises and even lesser known brands like Grand Theft Auto. Online Gaming is addictive however which potentially cause problems, especially with the guys you can meet up with online. Which eventually led to him purchasing illegal narcotics from a dealer, who he had met online. Now this doesn't happen to everyone and to others  it could bring in a source of income, like the man in the link. Steven Bonell is a proffesional Starcraft2 player. " but one title has spawned a world class sport unlike any other,Starcraft." Starcraft 2 was made by blizzard a multi-million dollar company (also creator of World of Warcraft). Bonell would make enough money to get by and would have travel opportunities to Korea where he could train more immensely. I think this is cool, I also think that it is potentially very bad for your health because you are indoors for large amounts of time in front of a screen. But I think this would be a balling (good) job other than that. It's all about your interests.

McDonalds Health Problems

            McDonalds, everyone has eaten there, everyone knows where one is, but does everyone know the health affects?  Not likely, http://www.mcdonalds.ca/ca/en/promotions.html on this page it says the quality of the food and drinks here. We have all been in a mcdonalds, I don’t understand how much one place can say so much bull. They have advertisements where they show “Real Mothers” the process of cooking the food or making it. I can guarantee they haven’t seen where the meat has come from. This is pathetic, lieing to people right in front of there faces! I also like looking at the calorie counter, which I think is good that they have this on the website, but anyways 1 big mac is 540 calories alone. The average consumption is 2800 for teenage boys. The big mac is 1/5^th of you calorie consumption alone, not including the rest of the meal, I think this is terrible, but people love it and buy it. McDonalds doesn’t advertise this, which is smart for them from an advertising perspective, but it doesn’t show the true facts about the burgers. Though McDonalds does taste very good, not going to lie.

PS3 Network Hackings

            On April 23 2011 the playstation network was hacked. It caused uproar in the gaming community, which then led to 1month of not being able to play online games because the hackers took out the network. This also allowed for the hackers to view millions of people’s credit card numbers and potentially steal millions of dollars from people. However they didn’t. I own a ps3 and was online at the time of the hacking. At first I didn’t really know what was happening. But eventually, thanks to google, I could find out the real problems. Thankfully I didn’t have any credit card numbers online, I had a couple dollars from gift cards.  Playstation network had to reconfigure the Online security settings, this took them a while. This took about a month. After the first month they allowed for people to access the online so we could continue with online gaming. However the online store, known as the playstation network store, was not back online until 1 more month. The reason it took them so long was because they had to reconfigure their whole online security to save gamers from another potential hack. I think that the hackers could do this once again if they chose. And I appreciate what they did. They potentially strengthened the security system. I also thank them because playstation network gave playstation users an option to choose 2 of 5 video games.

Facebook vs Twitter

Facebook is a social network phenom that millions around the world use. I personally like facebook more because it is for more personal use, I can get my closer friends to which I can see what they are doing or will be doing in the future. As for twitter, twitter is used to see the updates of celebrities because you can follow anyone. I find it terribly hard to find friends on twitter, and even if I do they don't necessarily say much about life. I see retweets and other non-exciting things all the time which really give me no essential information. In the end I prefer facebook over twitter because I can read what i want to read opposed to reading some stuff about random celebrities that might not make a difference in my everyday life. Besides I don't really care for celebrities in movies anyways.What do you think of this? Twitter or Facebook?

Starcraft in the Media

Starcraft 2 is a brilliant video game designed by blizzard. This game is not yet big in the media here in Canada, but it is in Korea. Korea is the place where the best of the best starcraft players come from. I believe one day that starcraft will be big here in North America. This past weekend MLG was on in Columbus. It gave players have the chance to win 100k in the prize pool. However it is a 1v1 type game so only 1 player can come out ahead. This is huge for gamers in North America, and foreigners from Korea. I think that if I'm pro enough I could be on this stage going for a chance to win. But this will require immense practice and require me to drop out of school. I also think that one day "foreigners" (non-Koreans) will be able to be top of the world. That would also be after we get TV shows about Starcraft here in Canada.

Toronto Maple Leafs in the Media

The leafs are a team with many fans. How long has it been since they have been in the playoffs? It has been since 1998 they have been in the playoffs (may be incorrect) but I think it the media plays a crucial role on the playing ability of the leafs. Let alone the coaching staff. I like to think that the leafs coaching staff is a crucial reason to why the have lost since then. Media beats down on how the coach plays his players. I almost like to think that if leafs hired a coach and didn't allow them to speak or look at the media and it would make the leafs organization a bit better.

Vibrating Tattoo Patented By Nokia Alerts Users When Phone Rings

Nokia is coming out with a vibrating tattoo, what happens is when you receive a message the tattoo vibrates so you know when you receive a phone call or text. There is absolutely no need to have a vibrating tattoo unless you cant hear your ringer. It is unreal stupid. Anyways this is what i think. If you disagree please tell me.
